So go on and find them floating on toxic-mud rivers, inside haunted starship ruins, hanging in electric wire jungles canopies, or like fleas on top of some TECHNOTECTONIC leviathan..

Find them and SLAP them HARD out of their comfy cryosleep !

Alone in DICESAURIA, my solo-only game is here!

In this gamist, narrative, push-your-luck game you will create your mutated cosmonaut (in a few seconds!) as well as the environment by drawing Aspects Stripes.

In no more than one hour you’ll have explored the weirdest environment encountered the meanest and strangest denizens and possibly ride the most terrific DINOS.

• Fast and fun push-your-luck and choose your own adventure gameplay.

• Hundreds of weird combinations with which to build your character and the world.

• Two modes of play: a gamist and a more freeform mode.

• You will only need to print and cut Aspects and have at least 12 six-sided dice (D6s).

• You need not have read or played the multiplayer parent-game.

The World of Dicesauria

# 3 PUNCTURED REALITY

Dicesauria is full of holes. Yes, holes, of various dimensions, shapes and behaviours. As it turned-out the Great Collision didn’t really tear a rift on the fabric of space-time but rather punched zillions of holes on the reality continuum. Holes are f%#! e v e r y w h e r e. Sucking and spouting, swirling and lingering, hidden and screamingly obvious. Enormous Tectotechnoterrors crawling through a lava spouting Hole in the horizon, a swarm of Multisouls arriving through a few fist-sized Holes suddenly appearing on the rock’s surface.

#4 LAVA AND GOO

There are two basic elements which permeate most if not all types of matter existing in constant struggle. Lava and Goo. Some scholars believe the mixing of these two basic elements is what gave birth to all known matter. And energy. And everything. Lava,  the blood of the world, bled from down under while Goo, the Spiritual, the pus of the heavens, rained down through wound-like portals in the sky. Most things in Dicesouria are either bleeding lava or oozing goo. Characters that learn how to tame these elements will pretty much be able to manipulate spirit and matter at a whim. Most ambitious prospectors, though, either become rather slimy or turn into cinders long before they master their craft.

The World of Dicesauria

#2 The Known Events

You were a Great Starfaring Species, exploring and colonising the far reaches of the universe spreading the light advancement  technology of quantum-souling.  Confident  in your limitless possibilities you began to learn how to alter, to manipulate, to saw and stitch, to measure the very fabric of spacetime toying with realities, devouring and reforging worlds and civilizations, planets and whole star systems, rendering the known cosmos your playground.

Till you reached this insignificant, tiny, primal world, of the rather obscure, Barbaralian system, named Dicesauria.

And then it happened.

Was it part of some high-end scientific experiment, was it the fabric of space time finally being worn by your audacious interventions, was it something inherently and absurdly complex about this strange world that caused it. No one knows. What you do know is that the whole ALPHA-FLEET including your Galleon 232 violently crashed on this planet tearing-up the very fabric of reality causing parallel universes to merge and your fleet personnel’s Souls (after all bodies were reduced to less than dust) to be scattered throughout the world's dense atmosphere trapped by its quantum-gravity unable to ascend the Soul-pods and escape back to safety.

IT is known as the GREAT COLLISION EVENT.

Not everything was lost, though. The emergency Soul-chambers (a kind of super-advanced stasis-chamber) of a handful of starships did actually work swiftly, absorbing the crews’ souls into. You were one of those few “lucky" souls.

You now have awakened from a Cryosleep which lasted aeons or just a few hours. You might have lost your body but you haven't lost your Soul. Yet. Plus you still have these weird Stripe Aspect Skins which are good enough I suppose, to walk around in the low gravity environment of Dicesauria and do some funny stuff. And more importantly keep you relatively safe till you find a way out of here!

Of course you were not the only crew whose souls were preserved after the GCE. What is strange, or perhaps logical in a hyper-complex way, is that after the timespace fabric was torn and till it mended itself back to almost normal, time flowed in a terribly uneven way and with great topological variation. Thus for some, a dozen of eons have already passed, yet for others just a few hours have gone by since the GCE while for a few time has even backtracked!

Still, most souls, whether because their Starships cryo-equipment broke-down during the Collision or perhaps because they were gradually absorbed, through the centuries, by Dicesauria’s bulimic nature, became lost. Reclusive spirits hiding into pocket quantum-universes which exist in everything from a rock to a sound wave. These steer and roll and wobble at the presence of other souls forming clusters and affecting the environment. These are called Ghosts

The World of

DICESAURIA

#1 The Planetoid

The world of Dicesauria is enshrouded in volcanic fumes and a dense radio-iridescent atmosphere.

Gravity is ⅓ Jungle Level to ⅕ on mountain peaks compared to that of Golden Terran Measurements. This allows for…well, great leaps, I suppose? Pressure is Average Terran. Temperatures vary wildly from a high of 60C at Jungle Level to -60C at many high craters or Giant Artificial Structures of Technocities’ tops.

The extreme humidity and high temperatures at Jungle Level combined with the low gravitational pull create the illusion of a lugworm greenish iridescent ocean. In contrast, at high altitudes it is freezing cold, and violently windy.

The lower levels are soaked in an almost constant toxic rain while the higher ones are bombarded by ion storms and tremendous wind-cyclones. So, it’s choose your own hell, I suppose. The winds also carry volcanic ash and even lava air-streams, both of which eventually rain down on the unfortunate explorer. There is a much sought-after habitable space (or Goldilock’s Zone as it used to be called by ancient humans). The most powerful creatures claim ownership of these zones. The Heavens, the “luxurious” mid level areas of the Tecnopolis are also found within these zones.
